Well, here's my first blog post on Vox. Purely experimental, mind you. I'm much more familiar with Vox's older cousin, aka LiveJournal. I'm sure that these platforms are very similar, and hey, blogging is blogging. I guess the main reason that I'm composing this post is so that I'll have SOMEthing to show to the nice people at my presentation tomorrow in the library. I really hope that we get a huge crowd.
There are other blogging programs that we could be using, notably edublogs and/or wordpress. The main difference is that those often take some time to set up and get running. Vox is much more user-friendly, and unless you're running a popular blog intended to be read by thousands, there's really no need to get overly complicated.
Perhaps now I should mention other famous librarian blogs, such as Jessamyn West and the lovely Librarian in Black. :)
